Joy DeVos has been a 4-H Leader in the Deep Creek 4-H Club for 11 years.  On Monday, June 5 she spoke to the club about 4-H, outlining its aims and objectives. She was introduced by Nancy Cooper.

Ostensibly, 4-H  teaches young people the responsibilities of raising and showing farm animals, but it also builds teamwork, self-confidence and leadership skills. The students have to keep a record of the costs of raising an animal, and participants are able to attain Grade 11 and Grade 12 course credits. Find out more about 4-H at www.bc4h.bc.ca
