Rick Roberts has had an interesting life ....
 
 
 
 
  • Grew up at the coast
  • started college training to be a music teacher, not suitable, went into banking, first job in Prince George, transferred all over the place until transerred to Salmon Arm in 1975
  • 1977 left the bank to work at a local insurance agency
  • The insurance agency grew, ultimately purchased by HUB International, more recently had Beacon Insurance (a brokerage, involved with Lloyds of London), until retirement
  • During the 1980s was involved in Kinsmen, Salmon Arm Chamber of Commerce, was the charter President of SABNES
  • In 1993 joined Rotary
  • Met Myrna at university, they travelled Europe extensively, had two sons
  • Present interests – choir, boating, travelling, two grandkids
