On April 28th, Okanagan College, together with two Salmon Arm Rotary Clubs, hosted 90 local grade 9 and 10 students for the second annual Career Mentoring Medley.

The event, organized by volunteers from Rotary, Work BC, Okanagan College, and School District 83, was designed to give students a comfortable setting to learn about the variety of careers available in Salmon Arm.  Thirty mentors of all age and work experience volunteered their time and knowledge to openly discuss what they do for a living and provide guidance to the students.  This was an excellent opportunity to improve networking skills as well, as the event was set up to encourage small and casual group conversation.  The event was a great success, garnering positive feedback from student and mentor alike.  A big thank you to everyone involved, and we look forward to doing it again next year!
