Our guests today were Gene Doray, principal of AL Fortune School and Kirsten Mazur, principal of Silver Creek Elementary, who brought the club up to date on the school lunch program as it affects their particular schools.
The schools' lunch programs offer fresh fruit, yogurt, granola bars, soups and sandwiches . Both principals thanked Rotary for their contribution to the students' health and well being. The program gives students a place where they feel taken care of, says Gene Doray, and Karen Mazur added that it helps kids get through the day.
