Susan Mackie and Doug Adams from R.J. Haney Heritage Village and Museum were on hand Monday 16 Dec to present the plans for Phases 2 & 3 of the Museum expansion. The next two phases  include a Children's Museum and Discovery Centre, which will focus on the resources of the property, bith the Heritage Village and the Natural Environment.  A new restaurant,  "A Sprig of Heather",  will have open air capacity and seating for over 120 with a commercial catering kitchen.  These two additions will enhance Phase 1, The Montebello Project. 
General Manager Susan Mackie writes, "2019 was a busy season at the Village; over 17,000 visitors passed through the gates and explored the Village, participated in the daily activities, and attended our events and special programs. Dinner theatre attendance was up 27 percent, with 2914 guests enjoying the Mystery of Dutch Charlie. In September we celebrated the grand opening of E.A. Palmer Butcher Shop, one of the nine dioramas in the Montebello Museum.... Join us in 2020 for the grand opening of the Salmon Arm Observer and the Barber Shop - Pool Hall."
