On Monday 26 August, Roger Parmenteau outlined the Shuswap Community Foundation’s place in our community. It is a charitable, not-for-profit organization that contributes leadership and financial support to community initiatives. He described how funds are generated and how they are distributed. The endowment funds fall into two categories: Discretionary & Dedicated. The first supports community projects; the Dedicated Funds are donor directed, to either a specific charity or an educational institute.
