The club was privileged on Monday to have a Zoom return visit from 1996-97 Youth Exchange student Tomáš Raboch, who hails from Pilsen in the Czech Republic. All of his former host parents attended the meeting and were delighted to hear him bring everyone up to date on his life since the exchange. Tomas claims that his year in Salmon Arm was the best year of his life. He has travelled extensively since then and has worked in the tourist industry, initially with Pilsner Urquell and later with his own tourism company, Enjoy Pilsen. Since Covid destroyed the tourism business, he has developed interests in marketing and communications. Tomas is married to Monika, and the couple have two daughters.
