Team Rotary at Relay for Life

On June 10 the Salmon Arm Rotary Club fielded a team in the Relay for Life to support the Canadian Cancer Society. Our team - Marvel, Dan, Woinshet, Darcy and Nancy - raised $4,700 for much needed research, treatment and support. 

18 teams from Vernon, Kelowna, Clearwater, Chase, Blind Bay and Salmon Arm took part in the 12 hour rally, which was held at the Salmon Arm Fairgrounds.   In total, the rally raised a little over $91,000.  Former Rotarian and cancer survivor Rick Hirtle, also took part.
