Jennifer Broadwell, Manager of the Salmon Arm Downtown Association. and Althea Mongerson, Projects and Member Coordinator, outlined the upcoming fall and winter programs for Downtown Salmon Arm.
They include a Christmas parade in early November, a holiday market on Dec 4, and Dinner & a Movie every Wednesday in December. Santa's Elves will also be downtown giving away five dollar coupons to shoppers.
There have been 35 new stores open and 11 closed or moved; only 10 available sites still exist. The Ross Street underpass will impact downtown activities for the next several months as it is constructed. People are encouraged o move through the downtown on foot, by bicycle or scooter to minimize vehicle traffic.
