Patrick chatted with Shirley Deglan over lunch prior to her presentation on RCMP Victim Services, which covers the Salmon Arm and Sicamous areas. This service is based out of the local RCMP Detachment and consists of a managerial position and a number of volunteers. The volunteers experience an extensive training program over a four-to-six-month period. This group provides support and information to victims of crime, accidents and family tragedies. This service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
